Now playing before our regular first-run features, films from Focus Forward, an award-winning series of 30 three-minute stories about innovators—people who are reshaping the world through act or invention—directed by the world’s most celebrated documentary filmmakers. The films have been viewed in 150 countries and screened to audiences on all seven continents.

Inaugurated with IFC Center’s opening in 2005, the ongoing “Short Attention Span Cinema” series plays short films before the theater’s regular features, every day of the year. Past editions have spotlighted shorts from film festivals like Slamdance and Doxita; work from The New York Times’ Op-Docs, The 78 Project and UNICEF’s Oneminutesjr. initiatives; and retrospective series on filmmakers including Isabella Rossellini, Jay Rosenblatt, DA Pennebaker, Jeff Scher, Emily Hubley, Guy Maddin, James Nares, Jessica Oreck and others.
