Dheepan

Friday, May 6 - Thursday, August 4, 2016

From the acclaimed director of A Prophet and Rust and Bone comes a riveting tale of three Sri Lankan refugees: ex-guerrilla Dheepan and two strangers, who jump at the chance to emigrate to Europe by pretending to be family. But instead of the peace they hoped to find, they’re dumped in a gang-infested housing project outside of Paris, hardly less violent than the world they fled. And as their situation grows ever more precarious, Dheepan discovers he must call upon the military past he renounced if they’re to survive.
