Q&A w/ dir. Andrew Jarecki!

This Oscar nominated film and Sundance Grand Jury Prize winner, looks at a Long Island family torn apart by accusations of child molestation. As the film documents, Arnold Friedman and his son Jesse were convicted for extreme accusations of abuse based on testimony and without other evidence. “The film is as an instructive lesson about the elusiveness of facts, especially in a legal context,” wrote Roger Ebert. Now ten years after the film’s release, it continues to stir debate, leading to new investigations and revelations. Director Andrew Jarecki has become a strong advocate for innocence of Jesse Friedman, who completed a stint in prison.

Following this screening, Jarecki will discuss the latest developments in the case, including court rulings that took place this summer.
