In advance of the opening of their latest, FOLKTALES, IFC Center presents a rare 35mm screening of Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady’s 2006 Oscar nominee, JESUS CAMP. In Devil’s Lake, North Dakota, Pastor Becky Fischer’s “Kids on Fire” summer camp teaches kids as young as 6 years old to become dedicated Christian soldiers in “God’s army.” Following campers as they hone their “prophetic gifts” and are schooled in how to “take back America for Christ,” this groundbreaking, eye-opening doc explores an intense training ground that recruits born-again children to become an active part of America’s political future.
