Paris

Friday, September 18 - Thursday, November 12, 2009

An exuberant, kaleidoscopic love letter to the City of Lights and its inhabitants, from new immigrants and street-market vendors to university lecturers and the supermodels who rule the catwalks, Cedric Klapisch’s (L’auberge espagnole, Russian Dolls) new film paints a dazzling portrait of the amazing metropolis in all its diversity. Following a host of characters whose paths overlap and intersect, the tale centers on Pierre (Klapisch favorite Romain Duris), whose precarious health throws him back in touch with his now-single sister (Juliette Binoche) and her children.
