Known for their visual splendor, go-for-broke performances and quintessentially English eccentricity, Ken Russell’s strikingly original body of work explores the perils of false idols and idiosyncratic genius, as well as the transformative (and maddening) powers of notoriety, art, love and sex. In honor of the new, hotly anticipated 4K restoration of THE DEVILS opening on Fri, Oct 16, this series celebrates Russell’s mad genius with films spanning the apex of his filmmaking career.
