IFC Center Announces Temporary Closure: March 14-31, 2020
Out of concern for the health and safety of our customers, staff and the New York City community at large, IFC Center will close temporarily at the end of the business day on Friday, March 13. All programming will be suspended at that time.
“Given the science-supported recommendations from federal, state and city authorities to reduce all nonessential social contact, including large gatherings, in hopes of slowing the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, we realized that closing the theater now was the best action we could take for the well-being of our community,” said John Vanco, GM and SVP of IFC Center.
IFC Center plans to re-open for business on Wednesday, April 1. We will closely monitor developments and update moviegoers on our website with any news.
If you’ve purchased tickets with a credit card for any upcoming shows, we will automatically refund your purchase to your card. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to appear.
If you purchased tickets with cash at our box office for an upcoming show, please email info@ifccenter.com and we’ll reply to process a refund.
For IFC Center members, we’re especially grateful for your ongoing support. All current members will automatically have their membership extended for an additional month to make up for the closure.
If you have any questions about rescheduled events or film openings or other matters, please email info@ifccenter.com
We apologize for the sudden news but thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back to the IFC Center in April.
In the meantime, keep safe and be well.
