How do I use my existing membership with the new ticketing system? Is it the same as MovieTickets.com?
All current IFC Center members were sent an email with a new member number and instructions on how to log in to the new system – please check your spam folder. Still missing? You can reach out to ifccmember [at] ifccenter [dot] com to request that information – you will need to create a new user profile, using your new member number, to access your member benefits with the new system. The four-digit code used for MovieTickets.com will no longer work with the new ticketing system.
There is nowhere on the new ticket purchase page to enter in my 4-digit member number – help!
The four-digit code on the back of your IFC Center membership card will no longer work with the new ticketing system. I am renewing my IFC Center membership. Will I be getting a new card, or do I keep my old one?
You’ll receive a new IFC Center membership card when you renew under this new ticketing system, but your current membership card is valid until you renew. Please recycle your old card (with the 4-digit code at the bottom of the card) once your new card is received.
I’m a member, but I don’t see the member ticket option on the purchase page.
To access your member benefits, please log in to the new ticketing system using the new account you’ve created. The system will automatically offer you member-priced tickets. What is the difference between E-Ticket and Will Call?
E-Tickets are tickets that you print at home or send to your phone; Will Call tickets must be picked up at the box office.
- With E-Tickets, you can skip the box office and kiosk, and stroll right into the lobby for your screening! We offer two forms of E-Tickets: Print-At-Home and Mobile Tickets. You’ll receive PDF copies of both straight to your email inbox – you can either print the Print-At-Home ticket (the one with the IFC Center logo on it) ahead of time, or have the usher scan the specially formatted Mobile Ticket code directly from your phone.
- With Will Call, you can retrieve your pre-purchased IFC Center tickets at our box office using either A) a print-out of your confirmation email, B) your name, C) the credit card with which you purchased the tickets, or D) the order number.
Where do I go to pick up Will Call tickets?
The IFC Center box office is located right outside of our theater lobby entrance. We are located at 323 Sixth Avenue, at West 3rd Street.
My phone died, and my E-Tickets are on my phone. What do I do?
Luckily, you can claim physical tickets at the box office using your A) your name, or B) the credit card with which you purchased the tickets. Please note that printing out your tickets at the box office will invalidate any E-tickets you have for that show.
Do I have to buy tickets online, or can I still purchase tickets at the IFC Center box office?
In-person tickets are still on sale at the IFC Center box office. However, we do recommend purchasing tickets in advance (either online or at the box office) for shows with Q&As and for any special events.
I left my member card at home! Can I still get my member-priced ticket(s) at the IFC Center box office?
YES! We can look up your membership profile via our new ticketing system at the box office, and honor your member discount in person.
Can I use my physical guest passes to claim tickets online?
NO. These guest passes can only be redeemed in person at the box office.
Do I have to create an account to purchase tickets online, or can I check out as a guest?
Our new ticketing system requires users to set up an account; the system doesn’t offer a guest check-out option.
I’m buying tickets for a screening happening later today, but the only ticketing option available is E-Tickets. Can I still pick up tickets at the box office?
Will Call pick up is an available ticketing option through the day before the screening. With E-Ticketing, you will receive PDF tickets straight to your inbox immediately!
Where is IFC Center located and how do I get there?
IFC Center is located at 323 Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) at West 3rd Street. Take the A, B, C, D, E, F or M to the West 4th Street/Washington Square stop or the 1 to Christopher Street/Sheridan Square. Get Directions by Subway or Bus.
When do tickets go on sale for upcoming films? And how do I buy tickets?
Typically showtimes are available and tickets go on sale at 6pm the Monday prior to the film’s opening. Our tickets are available for purchase online via the showtimes links on our website and in person at our box office. Tickets for all films usually go on sale Monday for that Friday through the following Thursday.
What is your refund policy?
Due to credit card security protocols, we are only able to process refunds in person at our box office. Refunds are available up until showtime. Once the movie has begun we can no longer issue a refund.
Can I rent the theater out for a private event?
Yes, our theaters are available for rent. For details on event hosting and to submit an event hosting request form, click here.
How do I submit a film for consideration?
To submit a film for consideration, either drop a screener off in our lobby during business hours, or email a link to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that we cannot return screeners.

Is there parking at your location?
IFC Center does not have a parking lot, but there are a number of parking garages close to the theater as well as street parking.

Do you have any discounts for regular screenings?
Yes, we offer a discounted rate ticket for seniors (62 & over), children (12 & under), patrons with the MTA reduced-fare MetroCard for people with disabilities, and active military with valid ID. Patrons with the MTA reduced-fare MetroCard for people with disabilities are eligible to purchase a Senior membership. We do not have any discounted ticket prices available for students, but we do offer a discounted student membership. Details can be found at www.ifccenter.com/membership/.
Is IFC Center handicap-accessible?
Yes, all five of IFC Center’s theaters are handicap-accessible.
Does IFC Center have assistive-listening devices?
Yes, we offer assistive-listening devices for all of our theaters. Inquire with theater staff in the lobby of IFC Center when you arrive.
What time does the box office open?
The box office opens 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled show of the day; the box office closes 20 minutes after the start of the last show of the evening.
How many member-priced tickets am I allowed to buy per screening?
This all depends on the level of membership you have purchased. Student, Senior, Cineaste and Auteur members are allowed one discounted, member-priced ticket per screening. Cineaste Plus One and Auteur Plus One members can purchase up to two member-priced tickets per screening. Mogul members receive complimentary tickets for themselves and a guest to screenings.
Can I use my AMC Stubs card or Regal Crown Club card at IFC Center?
No. IFC Center is an independent cinema, with no affiliation to AMC Theatres or Regal Cinemas.
Do you sell gift cards or certificates?
