Estranged dad Chuck (Patton Oswalt) desperately wants to reconnect with his troubled son, Franklin (writer-director Morosini, who based the film on his own experience). Blocked from viewing his son’s social media accounts, Chuck impersonates a waitress online and starts checking in with Franklin. But things begin to spiral when Franklin falls for this imaginary girl and pushes to meet in person.
