Following HABIT, DEPRAVED and BLACKOUT, this final creature feature from indie horror legend Fessenden centers around a writer who, while investigating her town’s dark past, stirs up fears about lurking monsters.

“Trauma came about very organically. The concept was to take the monsters we’ve come to know intimately from three previous films and to observe them from the outside. So I chose a new protagonist. This raised questions of how we see, judge, and talk about each other and so it became my meditation on identity politics. Intentionally or not my movies have become a chronicle of American dysfunction as seen through the lens of gothic horror.” – Larry Fessenden, director
