Out of concern for the health and safety of our customers, staff and the New York City community at large, IFC Center has closed temporarily as of the end of the business day on Friday, March 13. All programming is currently suspended.
“Given the science-supported recommendations from federal, state and city authorities to reduce all nonessential social contact, including large gatherings, in hopes of slowing the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, we realized that closing the theater now was the best action we could take for the well-being of our community,” said John Vanco, GM and SVP of IFC Center.
We will closely monitor developments and update moviegoers on our website with any news about our reopening.
If you’ve purchased tickets with a credit card for any upcoming shows, we will automatically refund your purchase, including service fees, to your card. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to appear.
If you purchased tickets with cash at our box office for an upcoming show, please email email@example.com and we’ll reply to process a refund.
For IFC Center members, we’re especially grateful for your ongoing support. Member benefits will be suspended for the duration of the closure, to be resumed when we reopen, with no time lost on your membership.
If you have any questions about rescheduled events or film openings or other matters, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
We apologize for the sudden news but thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back to the IFC Center when we reopen.
In the meantime, keep safe and be well.
