Contemporary Color

Wednesday, March 1 - Thursday, March 9, 2017

Inspired by the American art of color guard–synchronized groups who perform choreographed routines with flags, rifles and sabers–music legend David Byrne brought together artists like St. Vincent, Nelly Furtado, Ad-Rock and Ira Glass to collaborate on original pieces with color guard teams from across the continent. Culminating in a once-in-a-lifetime event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn in the summer of 2015, Byrne’s vision was captured in this gorgeous documentary.
