Something in the Air
Friday, May 3 - Thursday, June 13, 2013
The celebrated Assayas (IFC Center hits Carlos and Summer Hours) returns with this vibrant, deeply personal account of the tumultuous events after May ’68. Gilles (newcomer Clément Mettayer), a burgeoning young artist, tries to balance his love of painting and filmmaking with his commitments to politics, while his girlfriend Christine (Goodbye First Love’s Lola Créton) dives headfirst into activism. Tempted by sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll and stifled by a complacent society, they struggle to keep the revolution alive.
