Peggy Guggenheim: Art Addict

Friday, November 6 - Thursday, December 31, 2015

A legendary figure who was not only ahead of her time but also helped to define it, Peggy Guggenheim was an heiress who became a central figure in the modern art movement. As she moved through the cultural upheaval of the twentieth century, she collected not only art, but a personal connection with artists—from Max Ernst to Jackson Pollock, Alexander Calder, Marcel Duchamp and countless others. While fighting through personal tragedy, she maintained her vision to build one of the world’s most important art collections, now enshrined as a museum in her Venetian palazzo. Official selection: Tribeca, Telluride Film Festivals
