Time Out picks “Must-See” films in Rendez-Vous
Hot off the presses: Time Out names its “must-see” films in this year’s Rendez-Vous with French Cinema program: RAPT (showing Sun 3/14 at 1:30, with director Lucas Belvaux & star Yvan Attal in person), Jules Dassin’s long-unseen classic THE LAW (Sun 3/14 at 6:45), and I’M GLAD THAT MY MOTHER IS ALIVE from father-son directing team Claude Miller and Nathan Miller (Mon 3/15 at 9:30).
César Award winners featured in this year’s “Rendez-Vous”
The Césars, often dubbed the French Oscars, were announced on February 27, with several selections from this year’s “Rendez-Vous with French Cinema” taking home prizes: THE FRENCH KISSERS was named Best First Film, Emmanuelle Devos took Best Supporting Actress for her role in IN THE BEGINNING, and MADEMOISELLE CHAMBON won Best Adapted Screenplay.
