Theatrical Premiere of New Digital Restoration!

With star Tina Romero in person at the 7:30pm screening on Wednesday, February 15th!

For the final installment in its Surrealist Series, The Latin American Film Center of New York partners with IFC Center for a special screening of new digital restoration of ALUCARDA. Often considered the pinnacle of Mexican Cult Horror, ALUCARDA tells the story of two young orphans in a 19th-century convent populated by fanatical nuns. The girls come across a tomb in the woods and enter it, only to leave possessed by demons. Upon their return, they bring destruction to the church in a surreal torrent of blood, death and damnation. Newly restored, the film looks better than ever, and Alucarda herself, Tina Romero, will be in attendance to introduce the screening and engage in a post-film discussion!
