Leos Carax: Modern Loves

Since releasing his debut feature BOY MEETS GIRL in 1984, maverick auteur Leos Carax has won international acclaim with his always exhilarating, occasionally perplexing, and often swooningly romantic work.  

In anticipation of the new 4K restoration of LOVERS ON THE BRIDGE (opening August 8), this series features Carax mainstay Denis Lavant’s first leading film role in the Godard-inflected BOY MEETS GIRL, the ebullient sci-fi romance MAUVAIS SANG, a giddy and bewildering journey through Paris in HOLY MOTORS, Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard in the unabashedly weird and wonderful puppet musical ANNETTE, and select screenings of his latest, the self-reflexive cinema manifesto IT’S NOT ME.

IT’S NOT ME screens with select showings of BOY MEETS GIRL; BOY MEETS GIRL is also presented in solo screenings.
