A Touch of Sin
Wednesday, November 27 - Thursday, January 30, 2014
Back by popular demand!
Shot through with black comedy and shocking violence, the latest from leading Chinese filmmaker Jia Zhang-ke (Still Life, 24 City) is a portrait of the country’s ills, told in four interlinked stories of a miner, a migrant worker, a young job-seeker and a sauna receptionist (played by Jia’s longtime muse Zhao Tao). As ordinary people try to survive daily humiliations and fight endemic corruption, they discover a sense of powerless that threatens to explode into murderous rage.
