By providing participants a one-week commercial theatrical run, DocuWeeks™ helps to qualify new documentaries for Academy Award® consideration. The showcase has qualified over 205 shorts and features, yielding 25 nominations and seven Oscar® winners. DocuWeeks™ 2012 will screen over 20 films.
